Hey — I'm really glad you're here. 🙂 What's on your mind today?
This is a taste — the real thing is just as easy.

Brain feeling like 27 tabs are open? 😅

Yeah — same. You don't have to figure it all out alone. Bring the big thing, the small thing, or the thing you haven't said to anyone yet.

How it usually starts

Most people open like this.

You
I've already talked to my friends about it… I think they're tired of hearing it.
Deanna
They're not tired of you — they're just too close to it. Friends love you, so they have opinions about the outcome. I don't. I only care what you want.
You
Everyone else seems to have it figured out.
Deanna
They really don't. The ones who get there — and stay there — almost never did it alone. They had someone in their corner. That's all this is.
You
Is this even worth your time? It's not a business thing, it's just… life.
Deanna
It's all one thread. Work bleeds into life and life bleeds into work. Bring whichever end of it you're holding.
Bring anything

There's no wrong thing to talk about.

Sometimes you need a coach. Sometimes you need a mentor. Sometimes you just need someone in your corner. I can be that person.

Two women in conversation across a cafe table

Work stuff

Landing the next job. The promotion you've been working toward. Selling yourself in an interview. A difficult boss, a challenging employee, a situation that has you questioning everything.

A woman listening with warm, complete attention

Or maybe you just need to vent

That's okay too. No advice required, no fixing unless you ask. Sometimes you need someone to listen all the way to the end.

Two friends laughing together on a park bench

Life stuff

Because it's all one thread. Encouragement, a bit of direction, or a reminder that you're doing better than you think you are.

You don't need a crisis to deserve half an hour of someone's full attention.

Before you reach out

How I work.

No programme, no packages you have to grow into. Just a few things I hold to, every single time.

One

It stays between us

What you say isn't repeated, shared, or brought up later — not to anyone, not even as an anonymous example. That's the whole basis of it.

Two

Zero judgment, genuinely

No lectures, no "I told you so," no face you have to manage. You can tell me the unflattering version — that's usually the useful one.

Three

I'll be honest with you

Kind isn't the same as agreeable. If I think you're talking yourself out of something, I'll say so — gently, and then I'll listen to why.

Four

You don't have to arrive organised

No intake form, no worksheets, no homework before we start. "I don't really know how to explain it" is a fine opening line.

Five

No pressure to continue

Come once. Come every week. Come back in a year when things get loud again. There's no package you're failing to complete.

Six

I'm not a therapist — and I'll say so

I'm a coach and a friendly, experienced ear. If what you're carrying needs clinical support, I'll tell you honestly and help you find the right person.

Four friends outdoors, laughing together mid-conversation

The best part? It starts with a simple conversation.

Who you'll be talking to

Hi — I'm Deanna.

I offer a judgment-free place to talk things through. I'll listen, ask questions, share what I've learned from my own experiences, and help you look at the situation from a different perspective. I won't pretend to have every answer — and I certainly won't give you the dreaded "I told you so."

My background is operational strategy, P&L management, sales and market-share growth, cost control, leadership development, and turning struggling businesses into successful ones. But what I'm most proud of is the people I've helped along the way — watching them gain confidence, take on new challenges, earn promotions, and go after opportunities they once thought were out of reach.

I was born and raised in Chicago, and I've since traded the city streets for the mountain air of Hot Springs, Arkansas, where I enjoy the scenery, the hiking trails, and the wildlife that seems to be everywhere. When I'm not talking business or helping someone work through a challenge, you'll probably find me hiking, rockhounding, exploring the outdoors, or cheering on my beloved Chicago Cubs.

I believe we're all works in progress. I'm still learning, still exploring, and still figuring things out — just like everyone else.

Pull up a chair. Tell me what's going on.

Let's talk
When people reach out

You'll know the moment.

Nobody schedules the day they get stuck. These are the ones people tell me about afterwards.

Sunday

When tomorrow already feels heavy and you haven't even got there yet.

Just after

The week after the promotion — when you can't tell anyone you're scared, because you're supposed to be pleased.

At the top

When you're the one everybody asks, and there's nobody left for you to ask.

Out loud

When you've told everyone you're fine so many times you've nearly convinced yourself.

3 a.m.

When the worry gets loud and you'd give anything for one calm voice.

Good news

When something finally went right — and you just want someone to be proud of you for a minute.

Honest answers

The things people ask me quietly.

What if I get emotional?

Then you get emotional. It's a conversation, not a performance — and you'd be surprised how often it happens about five minutes in. I'm not fazed, and I won't make it a thing.

Do I need to know what I want to say first?

No. Plenty of people start with "I don't really know why I booked this." That's usually a sign it was the right call.

Can I keep it anonymous?

Your first name is plenty. You never have to tell me where you work or who anyone is — say "my boss" and "my friend" and we'll get along fine.

What if it's not for me?

Then tell me, honestly, and that's the end of it — no hard feelings and no follow-up emails trying to change your mind.

Is 30 minutes really enough?

It's enough to get clear on one thing and leave with a next step. Most people are surprised how much lifts just from saying it out loud to someone who isn't involved.

How soon can we talk?

Often the same day. If I'm free you'll see it on the calendar — and if it's urgent, say so when you book and I'll do my best to move things.
